A Berlin-based singer, songwriter and producer with a genre-defying approach, Marcus Cetera writes songs of raw emotional intensity, transforming pain into music.

Cetera has spent years moving between creative worlds. He’s a trained designer, a writer, a multi-instrumentalist, a composer, and the voice behind a rock band. His first album, released in 2012 while living for a year in Beijing, featured a collection of eerie acoustic songs. His videos have featured contact jugglers and butterflies, and there’s always a cat sleeping on the mixing console.

His 2025 releases are inspired by real-life stories shared in psychotherapy: trauma, survival, and the space between. These songs don’t begin with the first note, but with the silence before it.
